“Catrina was amazing to coordinate and shoot my maternity/family session! We weren’t very near each other but were able to find a very fitting location right in between, and she was very accommodating to do so. This was in late June in eastern NC. It was hot. Even at sunset. And we had a brand new two year old daughter at the time. Hot, pregnant mama with wild-child 2yo = asking for disaster! But, Catrina was so so patient with all of us! Being a photographer myself, I am VERY picky/particular about hiring another photographer. You’d think being a photographer would make it easier for me or at least I’d know what to do. Negative! I am not naturally comfortable in front of a camera and always have stiff, awkward smiles. Every single image Catrina captured, I actually look like I’m enjoying myself and truly happy.. because I WAS! She made it easy to relax and enjoy my big belly and not worry so much about our daughter being a crazy one. That’s who she is, and she captured that perfectly. “Catrina has done several sessions for me, my family, and our business. The one that stands out the most is my Maternity session. I was on the edge of not wanting to follow through with it, and she convinced me to do it. I was feeling less than beautiful during my third trimester (and specifically that day), but after seeing the pictures, I was so happy she helped me make up my mind to do them. Her photos turned out perfect and she capture the beauty I had no idea existed in me during that time. Not only that, but she took some candid shots of one of my favorite dogs who passed away shortly after the session.
